On the streets of New York, models go virtually unnoticed. The reason? It takes skilled makeup artists and hair stylists, the right lighting, a genius photographer, and hours of retouching for them to transform into familiar faces we worship and envy. But be warned: All is not what it seems. "When you look at the airbrushed magazines and advertisements, the models look like aliens when there's not one pore on their face - it's just not normal," says Bare Escentuals CEO Leslie Blodgett. "I would love for pores to make a comeback. There's something sexy about skin that has a little more reveal to it." Imperfections can indeed be charming.
